What we are doing
1. Preparing to leave the alliance. Establishing communication outside of the game.
2. Some leaders will be leaving the alliance within the next few days. After this, everyone else is expected to follow them. One player will remain here.
3. New and returning members have a few days to adjust to the Crusaders. It is recommended they remain here, use the forums if desired, and get to know fellow Crusaders through external communications.

As you know, numerous people have been either leaving Edessa or going to the enemy. At this point I think it is unreasonable to expect to be able to beat FB/VS/MoM/DoM to level 10 of any world wonder or to be able to prevent them from winning.
So I was thinking about what we could do to make a difference. At this point it's not so much about winning, but more about surviving, in my opinion. And for those of us who really hate our enemy, it's also about not letting them win.
I just went through WWs in another world. It actually tore the alliance apart. It was insane and once the alliance lost one WW city, most people bolted. Even worse was how they treated that one player who lost the city.
In other worlds I'm in, WWs have been going on for months.
After I saw that alliance crumble I began thinking what could we do here. I realized the extreme difficulty of just holding one WW island against the top alliance, let alone 4 very strong alliances. I know you guys have been planning stuff for the WWs but I want to be realistic about it. We don't have a chance. My idea would only work if a few alliances took part in it.
The idea I came up with, that I checked with my members on and the majority agree to it, is that we prevent WWs from even starting. Many, if not most, of the enemy players are only hanging around in anticipation of the WWs. A bunch have already quit. I expect that if we prevented WWs from happening anytime soon, many more would quit. We would effectively prevent our enemies from winning Edessa.
And there isn't anything more rewarding than that for those of us who have been fighting those guys from day 1. From the crap we have taken from them.
To accomplish this we would have to leave our alliances. The countdown timer goes by the total score of the top 50 alliances. While it gets reduced occasionally, I don't believe it would reduce quickly enough to keep the enemy interested. I think most of them would leave. And to me, that's a win. This plan would require a lot of cohesiveness, but it actually is pretty simple. We would be allianceless. It will work. Because in the other world, alliances were able to keep the countdown from reaching the goal for two weeks by just a few players leaving the alliance. When they rejoined, WWs began.
Here, the countdown won't reach the target. And realistically, if WWs begin, we lose. That's my view of it.
